01 / overview

passwordvault is a desktop password manager built offline-first. entries are stored encrypted on your own machine and unlocked with a single master password.

i’m building it on my own in c# with avalonia, a cross-platform ui framework for .net.

02 / what it does

  1. 01

    a dashboard first

    total entries, favourites, weak passwords and categories at a glance, with the most recently added logins right underneath.

  2. 02

    generate, don’t invent

    create a random password or a memorable one in one click, with a strength meter right under the field.

  3. 03

    categories

    sort entries into categories like email, banking or work, or add a new category straight from the form.

  4. 04

    the small things

    favourites, notes, website links and an optional two-factor section on every entry.

c# and .net with avalonia for the interface, and sql for the encrypted local store. offline-first, so the vault never depends on a connection.
